Smart surfing

Today I worked on Smart Surfing.

I learnt how to use the Explorer tool

 I found it hard to say words into the speaker and for those words to come up correct. (eg: Makauri School)

 After learning on how to work the Explorer tool I found it easy to do stuff on it.

 Next time I need to make sure to find more/write information.

24 Hour Digital Footprint cybersmart learning

We were learning about our 24 Hour Digital Footprint. I learnt that

I found it easy to embed links into the icons/images.

I found it hard to find the right icons I was searching for.

I really enjoyed making the map in general.

Next time I need to manage my time better.

This is a map of sites and apps iv'e been on in the past 24 hours. I have embedded links to the images so teachers and I can visit those sites to. (you cant visit these sites yourself! only Makauri school teachers.) We also looked at our history that has been recorded. all of those Icons you can see are websites iv'e been on for the past 24 hours. It was a lot of fun doing this on google drawing.

Netiquette

Today we were learning about Netiquette. Netiquette is a word which is a combination of etiquette and net and/or internet. Netiquette also tells you some do's and some dont's. Eg: "Do be polite online" And "Don't be rude and mean to people on social media" Netiquette is a good way to teach people to be nice and cool on social media and online games.

Hi my name is Aja. I’m from New Zealand  Gisborne. I got to Makauri School. My favourite animals are cats. I love to read and draw. I love to do Cybersmart learning with Mrs Torrie. I also love to do free writing and to use my imagination and creativity. I have 4 best friends. I have 4 sisters, mum, dad, 2 dogs and 6 cats. My papa (my dad’s dad) lives with us.

I enjoy doing maths especially when it challenges me. I also enjoy doing literacy and writing. My goal for this year is to achieve organisation in my writing. I’m also working on my punctuation. I wish to achieve those two goals before the end of term 3. I also enjoy going to the Mindlab every second Tuesday to learn more about micro:bits, and engineering. I love to do art and to create new things. I like to use my imagination and creativity to do writing and drawing. I also love science and to experiment.

This year I always look forward to class assembly and to see what other classes have been learning about and what they have achieved and what their goals are. I also like to share what I have learnt and what I have done in class on my blog (Seesaw). I like to do maths and read. I’m looking forward for this year for when we do experiments and science. I like to use the micro:bits and to experiment with them. I have some writing achievements and some maths achievements
